On Monday, 26 May 2026, students from the Computer Science and Information Systems programme at Sampoerna University held an industrial visit at the Puskodal Room to broaden their understanding of the technology ecosystem first-hand. The students were accompanied by two lecturers, Patrick Lingga, Ph.D. and Panji Nursetia Darma, Ph.D.
The visit benefited both sides. For the students, it was an opportunity to see the realities of working in a technology industry aligned with their major, while opening up future career and internship pathways. For TRG, it formed part of its employer branding efforts and widened its talent pool network among leading universities.
The session was hosted by Wisnu Eko Pratomo as MC and featured two speakers. Anton presented on IoT & ICT, exploring how both serve as essential foundations of digital transformation across industry sectors. Devy Nur Annisa followed with an introduction to satellite imagery and GIS, explaining the relevance of geospatial technology to data-driven decision making.
Both sessions were met with enthusiasm. The question-and-answer discussion was lively, and the accompanying lecturers also engaged actively with the speakers while reminding their students how important the knowledge they are studying will be for their future careers in technology companies.
The event was formally closed by Helena Anthonia. It served as a reminder that synergy between academia and industry is not a formality but a need that must be nurtured. The interaction built today is expected to grow into closer collaboration between Sampoerna University and TRG in the future.
